Patients always want the highest quality cosmetic treatments, but they’re also concerned about value and getting the most “bang for their buck.” If you had a budget of about $250, for instance, what would be the best way to spend it?
Fortunately, there are now many nonsurgical treatment options that help patients get great results in a cost-effective way. BOTOX® Cosmetic, laser resurfacing and chemical peels, and microdermabrasion are all excellent ways to find value at my practice in Hoffman Estates and Downers Grove. Read on to learn about these rejuvenating and refreshing treatment options.
This anti-aging treatment is a popular way to reduce wrinkles and create a more relaxed, rested appearance. BOTOX can be used on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and at the corners of the eyes to fade the wrinkles that have formed after years of smiling, frowning, and squinting. Before your treatment, I meet with you for a consultation to discuss the areas you wish to treat, your goals, and the results you can expect. BOTOX is an injectable solution administered using a tiny needle. Most patients say they feel a slight pinch but no pain. You see natural-looking results in a few days, and they last about 4 months.
Laser Resurfacing and Chemical Peels
Laser resurfacing and chemical peels can treat a variety of skin issues, including fine lines, hyperpigmentation, acne, scars, sun spots, age spots, and more. During a chemical peel, a solution is applied to your face that encourages cell turnover in the top layers of skin where many concerns are predominant. The solution continues to work over the course of the next few days, when the top layers peel away and reveal soft, fresh, new skin below. The peel also triggers the development of new collagen in the skin. This collagen is responsible for reducing wrinkles and fine lines, giving you a fresher, more youthful appearance. Although there are many different types of peels, I prefer the Obagi® Blue Peel, which I can customize to meet your precise needs. A single treatment takes about an hour, and some patients opt for a series of treatments.
Do you love the feeling of having softer, smoother skin after exfoliating? Imagine that feeling, only amplified, and the results last much longer. In a microdermabrasion treatment, we use a dermal pen that contains microscopic crystals to remove the top layer of skin, which contains dead skin cells and impurities. When this thin layer is removed, skin begins to regenerate new skin cells and collagen. Multiple skin issues can be treated at once, as microdermabrasion reduces the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation issues, and scars. It’s noninvasive, so there is no downtime required, and you’ll get a warm, youthful glow that lingers long after your treatment.
Each of these treatments can provide natural-looking results for a more youthful, refreshed appearance, and they all do so in a cost-effective way. I can help you determine which treatment will help you to meet your goals. I invite you to request a consultation so we can find the best solution for you.
